Great Dog Rescue New England – Saving Lives One Dog at a Time
Great Dog Rescue New England (GDRNE) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization that helps rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome dogs from all over the world. Founded in 2023, GDRNE has saved over 15,000 dogs from euthanasia or other dangerous circumstances in its first year alone. The organization’s mission is to “provide a safe haven for homeless and abandoned animals, preventing them from further suffering and ultimately finding them permanent and loving homes.”
GDRNE works with other rescue organizations to help facilitate the transfer of dogs from high kill shelters, puppy mills, and other dangerous situations. The organization also works to provide financial support to those who are willing to foster or adopt a rescued dog. GDRNE provides a safe and secure environment for these animals while they wait to find their forever home.
GDRNE emphasizes education and advocacy in order to reduce the number of homeless and abandoned dogs in the U.S. The organization has a strong focus on spaying or neutering all animals, mandating the procedure for all rescue animals in their care. They also advocate for the proper treatment of animals, both in homes and in shelters, and work to educate the public on responsible pet ownership.
In addition to rescuing and rehoming dogs, GDRNE also offers a variety of other services to the community. They provide low-cost spay and neuter services, as well as vet visits, vaccinations, and microchipping. GDRNE also offers educational seminars and workshops to help pet owners learn more about the care and training of their beloved companions.
GDRNE relies heavily on the support of the community to support their mission. The organization is always looking for volunteers to help with rescue efforts, transport animals, and provide foster homes. Donations are also welcome and are tax-deductible. GDRNE accepts donations of money, supplies, food, and other items to help support their mission.
