The Shih Tzu is a small breed, typically weighing between 9-16 pounds and standing at about 8-11 inches tall. They are known for their bright, outgoing personalities and their intelligence. They are natural clowns who love to show off and play, making them the perfect pet for anyone looking for a loyal and loving companion.
Although they can be stubborn at times, they are highly trainable and eager to please. With consistent training, they can learn to obey basic commands such as sit, stay, and come. They love to be around their people, so it’s important that they get plenty of socialization and attention.
The Shih Tzu is known for its long and luxurious coat, which requires a fair amount of upkeep. However, it is important to remember that the Shih Tzu is a low-shedding breed, and regular grooming will help keep their coat healthy and looking its best.
