St. Francis Medals for Dogs: A Sign of Blessing and Protection
As a sign of blessing and protection, St. Francis medals for dogs have become increasingly popular in the past few years. A St. Francis medal is a small medallion or charm typically worn around a pet’s collar. It is believed that this medal was inspired by St. Francis of Assisi, who was known to have a deep love and respect for animals. In fact, many churches have statues of the saint surrounded by animals.
The St. Francis medal is a symbol of the belief that the saint will protect and watch over the pet and its owners. Many pet owners will also pray to St. Francis for the health and well-being of their pet. The medal can be a source of comfort and peace to the pet and its owners knowing that St. Francis is watching over them.
The medal itself is typically made of silver or bronze and it may feature a variety of images related to the saint. For example, it may feature a picture of St. Francis with a dove, a cross or a representation of the Nativity. It may also feature a quote from the saint, such as “All creatures great and small, may God bless them all.”
Finding the Perfect Medal for Your Pet
When it comes to finding the perfect St. Francis medal for your pet, there are a few things to consider. First, consider the size of the medal. It should be small enough to fit comfortably on your pet’s collar. Secondly, consider the material of the medal.
