How to Draw a Shih Tzu Face in 2023

Drawing a Shih Tzu face can seem like a tricky task but with a bit of practice and patience it can be done. The Shih Tzu is a small breed of dog that originated in China and is known for its long, flowing coat and distinctive facial features. To get started, you’ll need a few basic materials such as pencils, paper, and a good reference image. Once you have those, you can begin sketching out the basic shape of the Shih Tzu face.

1. Sketch Out the Outline of the Face

Using your pencil, lightly sketch out the basic outline of the Shih Tzu face. Start by drawing a circle for the head, then draw two lines that curve slightly inward to form the muzzle. From the muzzle, draw two lines that curve outward to form the cheeks, then draw a line that connects the two points of the cheeks to form the jawline. The basic outline should look like a squared-off heart shape.

2. Add the Details to the Face

Once you have the basic outline of the face, you can begin to add the details. Start by drawing two small circles for the eyes, then draw a line that curves around the eyes to form the brows. Next, draw two small triangles for the ears, then draw a line that connects the two points of the ears to form the “horns”.

3. Draw the Nose and Mouth

Draw a small triangle for the nose, then draw two curved lines that connect the two points of the nose to form the nostrils. For the mouth, draw two curved lines that connect the two points of the nose to form the lower jaw.

4. Draw the Fur

Using small, curved lines, draw the fur on the face. Start at the muzzle and work your way up towards the forehead, then draw small, curved lines that radiate outward from the forehead to form the fur of the top of the head.

5. Add the Final Details

For the final details, draw the eyebrows, whiskers, and any other small details such as spots or stripes. You can also add a bit of shading to give the face more definition.

6. Color the Drawing

Once you have finished drawing the Shih Tzu face, you can color it in. Use a variety of colors to give the face a realistic look, and don’t forget to add a bit of shading to give it more depth.
