Toys that are too small, too loud, too sharp, or too confusing can end up being dangerous or just plain frustrating for your pup. To make sure you’re choosing the best toys for your blind dog, read on for our top picks.

Balls

Balls are one of the most popular toys for dogs of any age, breed, or ability. For a blind dog, balls provide hours of entertainment. Throw a few balls in the yard and encourage your pup to chase them. When your pup is able to find one of the balls and bring it back, reward him with a treat. This game will help your pup build confidence and have fun in the process.

Braille Ball

The Braille Ball is an excellent toy for a blind pup. This ball is covered in raised dots so your dog can feel his way around. The Braille Ball also has a bell inside so you can easily track your pup’s progress. This toy will help your pup build confidence and have a blast while playing.

Puzzle Toys

Puzzle toys are a great way to keep your pup’s mind stimulated. These toys require your pup to use his nose to find treats. You can find puzzle toys specifically made for blind dogs that are incredibly stimulating.

Scented Toys

Scented toys are great for blind pups who rely on their sense of smell to explore their environment. You can find toys that are scented with natural aromas like lavender or even peanut butter. This will help your pup build confidence and have fun in the process.

Talking Toys

Talking toys are a great way to keep your pup entertained. These toys will let out fun phrases and sounds when your pup interacts with them. This will help him to stay engaged and have fun while playing.
